I’ve changed a few shabbos lamp bulbs before but lately none of them fit.
If anyone has a link for a bulb they know would fit I would really appreciate it!

They need fluorescent bulbs not LED

A CFL should fit. That's the easiest option.
If you would rather use an LED bulb, you need to get an A15 light bulb. It has the same size screw in part as the standard A19, but the bulb part is smaller and fits into a Shabbos lamp. It'll last longer if you get one rated for enclosed spaces.

It's not designed for an LED. Dh in electronic development says LED bulb not safe for the standard shabbos lamp.

Do you know the reason why? Even if the LED is rated for enclosed fixtures?

He said the shabbos lamp itself is very poorly made and it's not worth the risk since it wasn't designed for it. I bought florescent just for this.

I've seen Amazon reviews which stated that using the wrong replacement bulb caused the lamp to catch on fire. Not worth the risk imo.

Freaking out! Just bought a shabbos lamp that came with LED bulb. Do you think it's not safe if it came with it??

LED bulbs are fine heat wise, it's just making sure the bulb doesn't touch the sides.

We have an old shabbos lamp. If yours is new and came with an LED, then that is fine since that means it was designed for it.

The Shabbos lampmcompany specifically recommends LEDs as replacement bulbs.
