WANT A QUICK GET AWAY PLAN (night out in hotel)

So I am from out of town so I dont know my way in usa so well yet ( although I live here a while already)
looking for a quick get away to go with hubby , we want a beach with hotel next to it , just for an overnight get away
close to monsey and brooklyn, as work is in brooklyn
anyone???

google for a beachfront hotel in Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts...

I have not been there but a lot of people go to atlantic city (in nj). I hear there is plenty to do there besides "gamble." There are supposed to be really nice hotels, boardwalk, massages...stuff like that I think.

rhode island, maine mass, are all at leats 4 hours from brooklyn. If you wany something closer that wouldn't be the place to go, IMHO

How about Oceanview near Deal NJ? I don't know much about it only whoever went loved it. It's near the beach and shopping. And, Deal has the most magnificent houses to see. Enjoy ur trip!

Big thumbs up for atlantic city! we love it there...especially this time of year...beach, boardwalk, mall, outlet stores...can't wait to go back!

whats the best way to get from brooklyn ( bp) to atlantic city
cab? would cost how much?
and maybe a train?or rail road?

You can take a bus to atlantic city.

Also there used to be a kosher restaurant there. I'm not sure if it still is their but yu may want to look into it.

are you out of town in the usa, or are you out of country?
If you are out of country-you might just like to know that atlantic city is also a big gambling place.
If you are the type of prsn not comfortable with that kind of atmosphere, you should find a better place.

I second this. its really not far from Brooklyn. much closer than AC. and its a beautiful hotel with a spa, and better yet on the beach. also there is a jewish community there, so there are shuls, restaraunts, really nice.
