One Electrolux is the "Ambassador" model, one is the "Epic" model, whats the difference between the two?

I have no clue of the difference, but my mother has the epic for the last 20+ years and every time she fixes it the repair guy tells her that she shouldn't even think of getting a new one as the old ones are so much stronger.

Weird because I had an old Ambassador model that I had issues with (full bag light went on when bag was empty) and the repair guy traded and gave me a rebuilt Epic that gets very hot (which the repair guy says is normal because its a stronger motor).
I thought maybe the Epic is an inferior model.
Time will tell, I guess.
