Imamothers living in predominately jewish areas in the US.

When you buy meat, is an ou or hechsherim like that enough for you or do you also look for another one? If you are chasidish, please specify. Thanks!

OU is enough.
Can I ask why you are wondering?

We eat any reliable Bet Yosef hechsher
OOT Syrian Sephardic
But my kids who live in NY will only eat
SBD - Sephardic Bet Din
Where I live SBD is not available
If my kids come to me either they bring from NY or they don’t eat beef

Are you planning on importing meat from Argentina?

OU for meat is known not to be good/enough. Always needs an additional one.

She answered for herself. Why are you arguing? Many - maybe even most - are fine with OU.

According to your Rav. Many Orthodox rabbi's hold its fine. The meat with our local vaads hechsher on it is repackaged OU meat and the community is happy with that

We eat all accepted Orthodox hechsherim.
OU is most definitely enough.

Chassidish, we eat only chassidish shechita or beit yosef (if it is from parts of the cow we eat)
Most kosher restaurants in NYC, even if they only have an OU hechsher will have chassidish shechita meat.

We eat anything that's certified kosher. But I have many family members who will not eat anything without an OU. They don't trust smaller, local and often very political organizations.

I'm chassidish. I only eat from specific hechsherim for meat, not ou.

Chassidish minhagim.
We only eat specific shechita. Before we go out to eat, my DH will call the restaurant and find out exactly which dishes are which shechita. He doesn’t mind if I order anything on the menu for myself, but if he can’t find the preferred shechita, he’ll just order fish. The meat I bring into the house is only the preferred shechita.

OOT Yeshivish and no would not eat only OU on meat. Would eat it on anything else though.

I mostly buy KJ or empire for chicken and alle for beef. Empire is OU and a second hashgocha. I cant think of any meat that I have seen in my local stores that only has an OU to be honest.

I’m not arguing, I’m giving her important information about something she asked! Just because you eat it doesn’t mean it’s fine. A mashgiach told me personally that there are big problems with just OU for meat Hashgacha. That’s why you don’t see many meat restaurants with that hashgacha and one that I know about already closed down.

Huh? I was asking the op why she was wondering this.
And again, if my rabbi says its fine, eho are you or your rabbi to tell me otherwise?

Many none chasidish men will only eat certain hechsheirim for meat/chicken like satmer or mehuder.
