I have been over 200 lbs for so long. Over 3 years, since my last baby. Every time I came close to the bottom of 200, I somehow managed to sabotage myself. When the scale didn't give me the results I wanted, I just gave up.

Two weeks ago, I decided to put away the scale and just focus on the process.
I still messed up a lot. But I tried to stick to my plan much of the time.

So this morning I stepped on the scale to get a reality check, and to my surprise, I saw 199.1!

Of course, I still have a long way to go, but it gave me the motivation to get on my excercize bike and stick to plan all day today!

Can we try to reach our goals by ten together?

Mazel tov! Great feeling!
I’d love to join this motivational group. I can’t get below 190, for years, like over 14.
I’ll treat you each to a high five when I get to 189.

Yes I’ll be here to celebrate as soon as I hit 189.9
I’m about 193 now.
Thanks for the motivation, op!

Yes, I have a wedding in 6 weeks, so I have a big motivation to get some of the excess weight off.
I have been doing intermittent fasting and at least half hour of excercize a day.
It's slow going, but nice to see its finally finally coming down.

Op that is fantastic! Hope that you can reach the goal that you want. I realized 2 years ago that I could not ever get on a scale again. If it was high I had a bad day it was low I had a good day. So for now I try to exercise and eat carefully and go by my clothes but I think being a slave to the scale definitely was not helping me. Because if I was up a little bit then I just felt like I almost gave up. So I think it's great that you're not getting on the scale too much and you should just be healthy

Just returning to say hi.
I’m still at 192, but looking forward to celebrating 189 within the next month.

Can we help each other deal with Chanukah?
What do you tell yourself? How do you stay motivated? How Do you set yourself up for success?
There are about 6 events I’m going to. Which means 6 events to keep myself stronger than being home. And that’s besides shabbos.
Thanks

I have similar numbers to you OP- I was over 200 for soooo long, in the 205-210 range since I had my last baby. Now I’m 186- but been here for awhile. Still grateful to be in wonderland and still trying.
