A few wedding posts were up about amounts being spent. Do you find with your first child you give more and as time goes on you need to cut back/tighten your belt with expenses? How do the younger children feel when the oldest is given more than what she is receiving?

For many it's the other way around money not as tight later on.

Hopefully children can understand that parents give what they can at the time.

As time goes on prices only go up, so it just gets more expensive.

We buy more or less on the same standard for everyone!

Sometimes it’s the opposite - with fewer kids at home and lower day to day expenses, younger kids might get more than their older siblings.

Either way, parents should do what they can at the time. Every child is different. Being loved equally doesn’t mean getting exactly treatment. That would be unfair since they each have their own needs!

This is a lesson parents need to instill from birth, not just when they are getting married.
