Can you help educate me on the flu shot? Should my kids/baby/I get it?

It's the most useless one
Never tested on pregnancy
Doesn't protect any strain
Justtheinserts.com why don't you read the actual insert and make an informed decision

Look up justtheinserts.com and educate yourself to make an informed decision.
If you still feel comfortable with the risks and the garbage they put into it then at least you made an educated decision.

Yes. I've been getting it since my first pregnancy 20 years ago. It's perfectly safe and effective. Good luck.

Yes, sooner rather than later
The only year I got the flu was the year I didn't get the shot.
Last year me and dd were vaccinated. Dh and ds were not. Guess who got the flu. Dh and ds.

NO
Time and again it's the ppl who get the flu shot who get sick each year and magically the year they decide they had enough and don't get the shot, presto, everythings fine.
That's besides all the toxins you're putting into yourself, for what?

Yes! We get it as early as possible! I work in a children's hospital. We’ve seen horrific cases (IN OUR COMMUNITY) that started with the flu.

You should go to your doctor and your kids' pediatrician for education on this.
There is lots of misinformation on imamother.

Flu shot is maximum 50 percent, in reality, sometimes only 0-20 percent. Why bother?

I don't. There doesn't seem to be much push to give it by my pediatrician who is usually very pro vaccine.
My personal very non-scientific observation is that some people seem to get it every year regardless if they vaccinated & some just don't get it.

Safe and effective?
The inserts list these side effects...GBS, brachial plexus neuropathy, neuralgia, pruritus, febrile seizures, paresthesia, myelitis, respiratory distress… Everyone can do what they want, but to say they are safe and effective when the vaccine itself lists over 15 adverse effects.. seems funny to me. VAERS exists for a reason.
No need to hug my post either, just stating facts that are listed on every vaccine. It's important for people to not follow doctors blindly.

My pediatrician who is pro vaccine, does not push the flu shot.
She said the flu is horrible this year, but the shot is really a gamble each year if it works or not.
And to the poster above. My kids and I got the flu shot the past two years and DH did not. Guess who got the flu??? All of us EXCEPT DH both years.
We're skipping it this year

From my personal experience:
I gave birth to a child who had a medical condition. I was told that this diagnosis develops during the first trimester.
The one common denominator for all children born with this condition, is that all mothers took the flu shot during the first trimester!
My kids all develope the flu, two days after they get the shot.

There are so many other things to do to prevent complications from the flu that don’t simultaneously risk other areas of your health.

Are you serious?
Every story about a child who died from flu was a child who did not get the flu shot.
