I am looking for a mesivta that offers secular education, sports, etc.
We are heimish chasidish, my son is a good boy, has good grades, behaves well is school, but he’s not meant to learn Gemura all day. I’m wondering what others do in my situation. I see that lots of people in my circles just send their son to regular mesivtas and they end up struggling. This is not something I’m ready to do.
Any suggestion?

Best bet is a frum not chassidish place that has other heimish boys. My relative’s are chassidish and send to degel in monsey and are thrilled

I heard of Kol Arye - a chilled out yeshiva. Not sure though if they offer what you are looking for.

Degel hatorah is a good place, but not chassidish. Some chassidim send there

Is Cheshkas HaTorah the right place? Also in Monsey. I know some non-academic good boys who went there...

Shtree/Geldzahler yeshiva in Boro Park might be a good fit.

Shtree is also Geldzahler. It's a family member of the other Geldzaler yeshiva. I'm not sure if they have secular education but they have a good program with lot's of extra curricular.

Heichal HaTorah may have many of the things OP asked for, but it is not at all a chassidish yeshiva, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is not a single chassidish student in the entire school.

OP, does the yeshiva have to be chassidish?
If so, none exist.
It barely exists in the RW litvish yeshivas either.

The yeshiva has to be chasidish or should have a couple of chasidish / heimish families that send there. My son should be comfortable to go there the way he is (levush etc).

To the person that mentioned Geldzhaler: seems more like a babysitting program for bochurim. What do they do there all day?

My son is not behavioral, rebellious, or depressed, he’s just an average kid that can’t sit and learn yeshiva style all day. There’s got to be an alternative. What do other chasidish mothers do? I can’t be the only one in this situation. Am I ?

There’s a yeshiva that my brother is in in Toms River it’s chassidish
They have sports, computer classes etc…
However the crowd is definitely bummy…it’s sad cuz ‘normal’ chassidish boys wouldn’t go to such a yeshiva they just stick it out and go to the regular accepted yeshivas….
But I wouldn’t send there unless ur son is more to the bummy chiller side cuz there are plenty of not such amazing chassidish boys there

The OP wants sports too.

Op, what does your son want?
Maybe he wouldn’t feel uncomfortable sticking out with his levush?
