I have a doona for my three month old and am not sure how to keep her warm now that winter has started. Is a coat enough? I guess Id have to find a car seat safe one.
I’ve heard babies hate snowsuits and cry in them, is that true?
I actually got a 7am from someone but don’t like it, it blocks my baby’s view and is ugly.

I like blankets for little babies.

I put my baby in a jacket and a cozy blanket, with the 7am cover on top. Yes its not pretty but its another layer to keep my baby warm.

You cannot use a snowsuit in a car seat.
I use a car seat for everyday errands. I have a fleece jacket for my baby from a 3-in-1 coat system from many years ago (do they still make those?) Add a hat and blanket on top, and he's fine. I do have a car seat cover but haven't dug it out this year as I think he's warm enough.
For longer outdoor times like walks on shabbos, I use a coat or stroller bunting, plan on getting rid of my snowsuit. Hat as well.

For walks I keep my infants in snowsuits (no hatred here) in a bassinet with blankets under and over.

Your best bet is the shower cap type cover on the carseat. We had a jj Cole one I loved.

Coats are not car seat safe and neither are fuzzy liners as far as I understand. Blankets and layers on top. Can you use a regular stroller with a liner like jj Cole?
Or you could take in and out the liner every time you bring it in the car etc.

I use a fleece/sherpa pram from Carter's. It's very cozy but not puffy. I add a blanket on top when it's very cold. And a hat if needed

You can not use a coat in the carseat. Its not safe.
My baby wore a sweater with a blanket on top. And then I had the 7 am pod to put over it
