Just make sure that, if it's a big hamster, you only get one per hamster cage. They don't play nicely together.

We got ours at petco and we're so happy, especially my toddler who absolutely adores it. It's such a wonderful addition to our pretty large family knh! I mean it. The kids love it, and it makes me so happy to see them enjoy it.
Ps.I'm more scared of spiders than mice!

May I recommend a teddy bear hamster over a Syrian hamster? We enjoyed the teddy bear hamster much more

I recommend you spend some time at the cage and try to interact with them. Choose the one with the best personality. Not all of them are interested in humans. Keep your mind open and buy the one that's inquisitive and is trying to interact with you.
