My child was diagnosed with adhd and a friend told me she heard there is Medicaid based program that helps with a lot of extra things such as extra curricular activities, homework help and even cleaning help for the house. She was pretty sure it was through yeled vyalda. I know I can jsut call them
And ask them but it really sounds
Too good to be true. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

She's probably talking about medicaid waiver and getting services through OPWDD.
I don't know if ADHD is an acceptable diagnosis to get OPWDD services.
If that's what she's referring there are a bunch of organizations that do it that you can talk to.
Hamaspik, hasc, yeled vyalda, hcs...
It's a process to apply and get approved.

It’s HCBS not OPWDD and adhd is an acceptable diagnosis as is anxiety ocd etc. I signed up Dc mostly because I wanted guidance but they’ve been pushing lots of services on me so they can fill up the hours. It’s a bit annoying. Thinking if it pays to sign up my other kid who also has anxiety, adhd, ocd, and more.

It's the hcbs program, if you already have a diagnosis it's worth signing up for the services to help you and your family out. Yeled does it also comfort health, HCS, HASC, etc.
