Is there actually a difference or just marketing? Price difference is huge!

Tide Simply is less concentrated, watered down. Some people use more of the tide simply but I liked its concentration and think that most people use too much detergent per load (which actually causes buildup in clothes and in the machine).
That being said, I do use a different brand.

I did not find the simply to work well on my kids' clothing with stains. I'd rather use less regular tide and come out with cleaner clothes
