I hope I posted this in the right place. My 12 year old son is too large for children’s pants around the waist (length is perfect) and too short for men’s pants. What am I supposed to do? Going to the Taylor for all of his pants isn’t realistic as he has ASD and would lose it. Help!! He doesn’t have any pants that fit him anymore and I’m desperate.

Have you tried Husky sizes from Children's Place or Lands end?

Buy men's pants and get them shortened.
I wouldn't call that a tailor - just a seamstress, if there's a difference.
I almost always take my DS pants to be shortened, by us it's 25 shekels and they are ready the next day. It's not a big deal.

I wish this was an option but my son won’t stand still for long enough for them to mark the pants

They can measure the inseam on a pair that already fits and shorten them all the same length without measuring it on him.

Yes. Just lay them on top of a pair of pants that fit him and measure with a ruler.

This! Their husky is real. They have a wider waist and still somewhat tapered legs. Definitely worth a try.
