Dd6 has to do a show 'n' tell for the bracha Ha'Adamah.
I suggested cutting up a few different melons and making a salad.
But she insists on bringing junk as all the other girls before her did.
Think licorice for Hamotzi = braiding challah
Sour balls and green sour sticks to make cherries for Ha'etz, etc.
Any food decorating ideas on how to use candy or other nosh to make some kind of Ha'Adamah food?
Thanks!

She has to "make" something, not just hand out nosh.

You can make fake brocolli with a green sour apple taffy (the soft kind). You roll into a cylinder and then cut down halfway and split the cut end apart so it looks forked like a piece of broccoli. You then pipe on (or I guess spoon on?) green tinted icing and dip in green nonpareils.
It's from a larger food decorating from a lo mein cupcake but you could just do this part I think. Start from about a minute into the video.

Are you allowed to/would you want to bake?
Watermelon cookies: Made with a strip of green colored cookie dough, wrapped along the bottom of flat half-circle of red/dark pink dough. Chocolate chips represent pits.

If you can bake, I once saw someone make corn bread in muffin tins and then pipe mashed potatoes on top.
Looks like a vanilla cupcake with buttercream frosting

Pickle pops. Put a small pickle on a toothpick.
Pickles were always very popular whenever we had a siyum in elementary school.

Why indeed? What's the point of making a shehakol while learning haadama?
Eat a vegetable? Omg, scary!!!

Thank you all for taking the time to reply.
Dd chose to do watermelon cookies.
She'll take one sample to show, and give the girls red and green dough to make their own with instructions to bake.
Thanks again!
