I’ve always had lots of cleaning help. Lately I’ve been trying to cut down hours when possible because financially things are really tight. My cleaning lady of many years just informed me she needs a large raise or she needs to find someone else to work for. I’m on the fence to try and manage without help.
What great items are out there that I can purchase to make doing it all on my own easier?

Things that I find helpful
-robot vacuum
-separate laundry baskets for each kid...they each have a time to do their laundry, I help as needed and there is no sorting
-Corox wipes in every bathroom so I can easily wipe surfaces down

I agree about the robot Vaccuum. A good one with good reviews. It has saved me on the weeks when my cleaning help just didn’t show up. It’s even on now, for post shabbos crumbs. I also love the laundry sorter if you have room in the laundry room. That way sort it when you have time and throw it in when you have time

Will a robot vacuum work if you have a baby crawling after it?

Roomba /or cordless vacuum cleaner that you can carry around .... sometimes I just find the cordless easiest

Bathroom - Sprays windex and clorox cleaner in each bathroom, toilet cleaning inside that the toilet cleans every flush

Kitchen - Soap, windex, wood cleaner, stainless steel cleaner, stove oven cleaners stuff (under kitchen sink)

2 whites/darks Laundry baskets per bedroom- I prefer the reg plastic baskets for carrying everything down to Laundry ... every other day but it probably depends on how big ur family is I change linen every other Friday morning... whites and towels on Wednesdays...

I find it works best when nobody is around and I prepare the room with chairs turned up on the table.

I’d save up for a deep cleaning cleaning lady 1x a month Pick and choose what you want scrubbed oven, walls, bathrooms from top to bottom, kitchen cabinets - then you maintain it throughout the month
But you need to choose what makes most sense to you

The secret is not letting things pile up, then it’s hard to get a handle

Makes sense. How do you even get someone good for once a month? I found in the past it took weeks trying ppl out to even get someone who did a good job.

Honestly I wouldn't go from lots of help to nothing at all. I don't know what you have now, but I've have 4 hours once a week for years & it's great. Knowing that she'll come makes the entire week easier. Even if it would be 2 hours it's still way better than nothing.
