take a month to get back to someone after an interview? It didn’t used to be like this. Now 2 weeks is the norm and a month seems normal.

It’s crazy. Not sure if I’m a fan of all the recruiting companies lately.

My husband is a recruiter
I’ve heard him say nobody is in a rush to give you bad news.
So basically ‘ no news is bad news ‘

He sometimes closes a deal in a few days.
That’s with going for multiple interviews.
If the client likes the candidate, they are hired asap

This is my experience too. I've been interviewed and worked in the corporate world
If they want you they don't dawdle because they know they'll lose you. I've gotten offers within a couple of days
(One company was even willing to give me an offer within hours of interviewing, because I had another offer that needed to be responded to the same day. )

Same. I've even gotten on the spot offers. But when it takes a long time either they're not interested, or they are more interested in other candidates.

I hope you find the right position soon!
