My dd is turning 7 she has always had quite fine hair but from ages 3 till 6 it was considerably thicker than it is now. It's so lifeless and thin and trimming doesn't seem to help at all. Could there be an underlying health issue? Lacking something like vitamins? I've never seen any hair come out and BH no bald spots It's just super thin and her ponytail has gone down to precious little! Any advice would be appreciated
Many thanks!

I had this as a child and it turned out to be an inflammatory food allergy (think dairy, gluten)
This was after all other blood tests came back fine so check that first. But I would definitely check for any inflammatory allergies which cause hair loss.
