Hi Everyone,

I have a oorah partner that asked me if there are any organizations that help with Chanuka gifts for her kids.

Just networking and asking around. I called already JCC and JFS.

She lives in Long Island
Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

I wonder if things changed?
Years ago I volunteered to pack the chanukah boxes for Oorah, and there were plenty of toys/games in there along with the menorah and candles.

Um...we created our own x-mas chaos where it's an expectation for our children to get gifts. I hear some get every night! I deliberately make a nice dinner , we play games and I don't stress about gifting. Thankfully grandparents gift them or give them money. No my children are NOT lacking anything !!!

And sorry, I don't know organizations that gift children other than those in crisis like chai lifeline/ c4e etc...

No organizations other than for sick kids etc. I sent a box myself to my Torahmate… didn’t have to be big things. Picked out a $10-15 game per kid and sent fun dreidels and gelt. Then I found someone going to the area and sent with them. They really enjoyed the surprise

I donated to a Ahavas Chesed toy drive for Chanukah last year. You can try them.
