hi! I am RW yeshivish. wondering when to start school for ds. when does cheder start? what to send to before then? he needs stimulation but I am also concerned about doing the best thing to ultimately get him accepted to the best yeshiva in far rockaway ... tia

School usually starts at nursery which is 3 turning 4. Many don't start until the next year which is kindergarten. Most people send to in house playgroups until then and it doesn't usually affect acceptance.

thank you!! so cheder is at 3? or that's different? and how do you find in house playgroups?

It very much depends on the school. Figure out where you want to send him and then check it out.
