Bumping this Smile plus its frigid in the tristate area so outdoor ideas which we usually enjoy (like a kid-friendly hike or fun park) aren't super practical. Any fun, semi-affordable Smile, ideas for kids (ages 5-12).

You know what, we are doing the same!! I thought I'd be really cool and go lots of places, but you know what they r enjoying baking, doing crafts, playing, and it's freezing and why add unnecessary pressure to myself? So they may be a little bored at one point or another, and an hour later it's already time to make supper and get ready to light menorah. I'm ok without having a jam packed every second busy holiday. I think they need some down time at home too. Soon school starts up again iyh, I'm telling myself it's ok to stay home.
Lol if I get bored maybe we'll do something Sunday cuz I feel more is open than monday, but again it's so hard for me to go out with everyone and much easier to stay home that I might just try to be okay with that. I think the pressure is within myself not from my kids.

Just a reminder it’s holiday tomorrow for all people and most things will be jam packed
