I remember it from my childhood and just bought it for my little one. The rabbi in the story is R’arele kalisher and I’m wandering if he was a real person and if the story is based on true events. Does anyone know ?

Also, no need for sarcasm and doesn’t really answer my question.
Many childrens story tapes are based on true stories. So does anyone know ?

I was absolutely not being sarcastic. I would have no clue if it's a real place but if anyone knows that it's not, then prob the whole story is made.up.
Nonetheless, we loved listening to that's story as kids.

Sorry. I misunderstood you. Even If it’s a made up place it could still be based on something true . I actually asked about the rabbi because I figured if he’s real then it’s most likely based on something true.
