Equal parts brown sugar, peanut butter and corn syrup. Melt in a double boiler (metal bowl on top of a pot of water) until smooth and liquidy. Add Rice Krispies and mix well. Press into parchment lined pan & allow to cool. Cut. Enjoy!
I usually do about 2 cups of each & 8-11 cups of RK (depending on how gooey I want them) on a disposable cookie sheet.
Edited to change a cup to 2 cups-thanks bigsis!

I usually do:
1 c white sugar
1 c corn syrup (I prefer the flavor of dark, but light works too)
1 c peanut butter
4 1/2 - 5 c Rice Krispies*
Mix sugar and corn syrup in a pot over medium heat, turn off when it starts to bubble. Add peanut butter, stirring until thoroughly combined.
Stir in Rice Krispies until desired consistency/stickiness is reached.

* @mamaleh : I can’t believe you’d use 8-11 cups of Rice Krispies for 1 c of sugar/syrup/PB!!
That’s why I made sure to post my version, because ours must come out very different!

You might be right- It’s been a while, I think I must use 2 cups of each. (I’ll edit my entry above)

I like do to 1/2 c honey and 1/2 c peanut butter. Melt slightly so they’ll mix together, and pour over 4 cups of any cereal. Refrigerate for a few hours to harden.

The consistency isn’t quite the same, but it works well enough
I’ve also used cashew and sunflower butter

I always did the ones with corn syrup but once I tried this recipe I knew that I can give my kids yummy peanut chews with way less junk and sugar
¾ cup creamy peanut butter
⅓ cup honey
¼ tsp sea salt
½ tsp pure vanilla extract
3 cups crispy rice
