Whink is fabulous on rusty porcelain. HOWEVER: It is extremely corrosive. Much like lye oven cleaner, except that it's acidic rather than alkaline. Here's a safety data sheet for the product: https://web.faa.illinois.edu/a.....r.pdf

Where it says it's not a physical hazard, that's criminally misleading. It means it's not explosive, flammable, or under pressure. But it is highly corrosive and not something you want lying around your house.

The active ingredient is hydrofluoric acid. This acid is nastier than most because the fluoride ion penetrates the body and exerts its toxic effects even after the acid has been washed off the skin. HF burns require a special antidote called calcium gluconate, something you're not likely to have in your home first aid kit. These burns are a genuine medical emergency. IMHO a gleaming sink is not worth it.

If you feel you must use this chemical weapon product, PLEASE wear long chemical-resistant gloves, closed shoes, chemical splash goggles AND a face shield, and follow the directions on the label.

Equal parts vinegar and dawn dish soap.

Heat the vinegar in the microwave for 60 seconds.

Then add the dish soap.

Pour in to a spray bottle. Spray the bath tub. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes and then wipe with a dry cloth.

Does wonders.

I don’t learn this here but Artists Bar Soap available on Amazon aka the green soap bar works wonders in removing really tough stains like oil paint, blood, grass ect. It’s created for artists to clean up after oil painting sessions but it’s wonderful to use for laundry. a bit pricey, but it last forever. Simply soak the stain, rub it into the stain and wash as normal.

For regular oil stains dishwashing soap always does the trick.
