hi,
I've been nursing and pumping for about a year without getting my period. I just got my period for the first time now... wondering is there any way to go back to nursing clean?

I think this is in the wrong forum.
To answer your question - no. once you begin ovulating while nursing, you won't stop, especially not if your baby is already a year and presumably nursing much less than an infant. That is exactly how it works. You are 100% normal.
As your nursing tapers off, your fertility returns.
