Please post suggestions for Jewish books on a high school level, both fiction and non-fiction.
Thank you!

But if they haven't read it yet...

These Children Are Mine
The 28th of Iyar
Rolling Rabbi
Living Legend
Incredible

Free Fall
Shortchanged
Map the Starlight
Sun Inside Rain
Name the Stars (Penina Weiser)
Field of Dreams and the prequel Victory Gardens

Hm...I guess Sun Inside Rain isn't SO historical, but I'm at a loss at the moment for must reads that aren't historical fiction.

Gotta go. More will come.

I thought the M. Kenan Kuzari trilogy was a great read but somewhere here Sequoia reviews it and elegant disagrees. I also liked her book Wildlands.

Again with the historical fiction!

Speculative fiction: It's Wednesday Again.

A Daughter of Two Mothers

If she hasn't read Marcus Lehman's books when she was younger, than they are a must read.

Also if she hasn't read Avraham Ben Avraham when she was younger, she should read. It's about the ger tzedek of Vilna.

The House on Garibaldi Street - about how Eichman was found

Yoni's Last Battle - about the miraculous rescue of the hijacked plane in Entebbe.

There was another thread about Holocaust memoirs recently. I'd read through that thread for ideas. As a high school girl, I really loved Alone in the Forest. It recently was reprinted.

Did you read the book? Feel free to pm me; I don't want to go off on a tangent.
