My husband and I are looking for a quieter , emptier beach in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood area but willing to travel a bit for a nice quiet beach.

Last year we went to Florida in May and Hollywood North beach park (something like that) was pretty quiet and empty and we
Enjoyed spending the day there but wondering if it would be the case mid February…

Lol

I know we won’t have entire beach to ourselves but I wouldn’t mind an emptier beach in a quiet neighborhood …

Wondering if anyone has been so Deerfield beach or Lauderdale by the Sea.

We are staying in Fort Lauderdale , but willing to drive for a quiet beach

Just go at sunrise on a cloudy day. We went in August and it was magical. From 5:30-8 am. It was all joggers, others watching the sunrise, collecting shells etc.

Go early morning, it's usually quiet then. We went to the beach in Surfside early morning, it was basically empty. No bikini clad women.

Key Biscayne has a big beach that’s very quiet, I think anywhere with a large beach away from hotels and public transportation will be a lot quieter

Inside Oleta Park
There is a VERY small man made beach area
If it’s mid week and not vacation time for the public school it should be empty
But you won’t get the big waves you’ll get at the Atlantic Ocean beach area
There’s also kayaking there
This is in North Miami Beach close to kosher places
Call to double check
Haven’t been since before covid

Years ago we went to the beach across the street from Haulover state park, iow to the west, the other side of the highway where the traffic is heading south. It's not sandy though, it's rocky iirc.

We went to Virginia Key (north of Key Biscayne). You pay enter (like $8). There are lovely beaches there some of which do not allow swimming so very empty. If I recall correctly, we just stopped at a parking area and walked to the beach from there through a path in the vegetation. We didn't drive around a lot, but it seemed like there were a lot of little parking areas with paths to the beach.
