Does anyone else find this uncomfortable? When I go with Dh to a hotel I think we both feel weird about using the bathroom because it's basically 15 feet from the bed. The room is quiet and it's just....awkward. I try to use the bathroom in the lobby but there's often people there as well.
Am I the only one who stresses about this? I just find it very weird if dh hears me doing my business in the bathroom. We want to go over a shabbos but I feel like I'm setting myself up for an uncomfortable situation.

Fun the water then you don’t hear anything. I would do it before a shower while the shower runs.

Yeah, this is the least of our concerns. We have no issues using the bathroom...

At home our bathroom is attached to our bedroom and is closer than 15 feet.

We have a bathroom in our bedroom. Like others said, run the water….this should be the most awkward thing you ever face!!

You're not strangers, nothing to be uncomfortable about! My bathroom at home is 2 feet from my bed....

I’m guessing you don’t have a master bathroom.

OP, may this be your worst worry in your marriage. And may you be married for many more years.
Maybe you are newly married so you may not be used to these things yet, but remember, this is your spouse, your partner in life. Dont worry about this. Your married. Hearing your spouse use the bsthroom is just part of life. Dont let this make your vacation or getaway be ruined.

We stayed at a place where the bathroom only had a wall halfway up. Then you really hear every sound.

I’m married 20 years and so uncomfortable when somebody’s in the room when I use the bathroom.
If DH is not sleeping, I ask him to go out of the room when I use the bathroom.
And yes, I hate hotel bathrooms as well.

Have you never heard your DH use the bathroom or vice versa?
We hear each other all the time and it doesn't bother either one of us.

Flush, then go. Or turn on the faucet or shower.
