Many of the hotels noted here cost above the $500 price range, but you might be able to book the Pierre Hotel on the Upper East Side, which is a beautiful hotel. That is not far from Eighteen, Abaita, Barnea Bistro, UN Grill. Downtown, you could try the Ritz in Battery Park City, which is near Reserve Cut and Wall Street Grill or the Beekman or Wall Street Hotel. Try to see if you can score any last minute deals from Booking.com or similar sites. Also, make sure to carefully read reviews on Tripadvisor or other sites to know what you would be getting. While $500 is objectively a large amount of money for a hotel, in Manhattan or other big cities, it is not. You could spend a decent amount and find yourself in a plain vanilla or very small room even at that rate. Look for AAA discounts if you are members and call the hotel reservation line to find out if there are any weekend deals. Mid week might be more expensive with business travelers.
