Your own seudah can be perfectly ok. You may even find you prefer it.

OP, it's disappointing for this time, but it's by no means a given that this marks the end of an era. Maybe next year, you can host. Maybe you can talk to your mother about how much you'd enjoy coming to them next year, and how can you help make that easier for her. Maybe there's another option that hasn't yet been mentioned. Or, if it's important to you to be included by your sister, maybe next year, you can talk to her well in advance, and ask how to make it work.

If the late night walk on Pesach is too much, nothing wrong with proposing an alternative plan, but please separate it from the Purim seudah plans in your thinking. You wouldn't want to be so petty.

I hope you find a seudah that's just right for you this year, and that you are able to plan something that makes you happy for the future!

Thanks so much.
Next year its the other side 'turn' and we wouldn't miss it for anything. My kids absolutely love it.

Ok, so, the following year. More time to plan and discuss!

Maybe but I'm pretty sure that they'll now go every time to my sisters house.
Guess we'll see.
