My pet peeve is when people consider something inherently correct because it was arbitrarily chosen by an entity they've personally decided to respect.

That reminds me: When people add ['s] at the end of the name of grocery stores that totally don't have it. e.g. 'Aldi's'

I thought it was "Barne's and Noble's" for years.

Did anyone already say voice notes? Voice notes are one of my pet peeves.

Apostrophes. Everywhere. Anywhere. Usually where they don't belong. Makes me crazy!!

Just saw this on another thread and it really annoys me. People who think it’s always “you AND I!” No! When you’re saying, “she brought a gift for you and ME,” it’s not supposed to be I!

If you’re in doubt, eliminate the words preceding the I or me, and say it that way. Then you’ll know if the proper word is me or I. Example: “She brought a gift for (me or I)? Clearly it’s me, so you’d say for you and me, in that case.
Example “You and (I or me) have good taste.” “”(I or me) have good taste.” So it’d be “you and I have good taste.”

So here's my pet peeve though clearly most people wouldn't agree.
Writing BDE on a thread about a death. I find the abbreviation so disrespectful to the dead and bereaved. You really can't type out the words?
It looks so cliched. So slang. Irreverent.

Uh, the BDE is not said for the benefit of, or in respect for the dead. It’s praising Hashem even during a sad event. Dayan Haemes is Hashem, not about the niftar.

If you're going to abbreviate, though, please use BD"E.

Agree 100% you have to get permission. I just have a problem with the "if you choose to have no internet in your house you should never ever go online" train of thinking.

By the way, many times when I type on my phone it automatically adds an apostrophe s and I just don't notice it because I'm not. I don't go back in necessarily reread every post

People adding unnecessary words to fluff up their sentences:

Switch out a lightbulb.
Exactly the same thing as switching a lightbulb.

Dice up a tomato.
Yup, identical to dicing a tomato.

Fry up some schnitzel.
No different than frying schnitzel.
