I agree!!!
I agree I agree I agree!!!!

Yesterday, I resisted eating klik chocolates and this morning I had a fasting glucose level of close to 200!! Right now I'm in the process of binging on that same chocolate that I resisted binging on Yesterday.

My mental health is more important to me than my physical health.

When I gotta binge, I gotta binge.

Do you check your glucose often? What’s normal glucose level?

You're proud of this attitude?

There are ways to have good mental health as well as physical health. Not saying a few squares of chocolate are the end of the world, but binging isn't a good thing and sacrificing your physical health isn't either.

So yesterday I ate:

4 big chocolate oat cookies
4 or 5 cupcakes (over the course of the day)
handful of chocolate chips
a rice cake or two

schnitzel and rice

chocolate chip cookies

It was a bad day and I'm not proud of it, but I'm posting because I'm sure others are like me and just too afraid to post. These threads only seem to attract the healthy eaters somehow.

No, these threads tend to attract the people who ate healthy that day and are proud of themselves. I liked your post, I like it a lot, it brings some much needed humanness and honesty and the struggle is real to this. You added a lot!

I am a certified professional health coach and ♡ what you wrote.

I’m around 20 pounds overweight.. so I try to be somewhat careful. Usually 1x a week I just give in and say- forget it! What’s the point? And I just binge eat whatever I find… knowing that I’ll get back on track the next day… not good but that’s reality..

Here’s what I ate yesterday
Breakfast-
Peanut Butter (low-fat) on 2 pieces whole wheat bread with cup coffee with almond milk and Splenda
Greek yogurt and apple

Lunch-
Salmon with mayo
Steamed peas
Steamed cauliflower w/ slice light Edam cheese melted
1 cup Kamut (health) cereal with Splenda and almond milk

Snack-
Greek yogurt cheese snack with coffee/Splenda
Homemade cookie

Supper-
A few crackers with slice light cheese
Sliced tomato with lettuce and light ceaser dressing

I’m not losing weight but I’m not gaining either
I’m sort of stuck in my overweight body

Sure. I make these once a week since my shachris boys take them for breakfast, the younger ones take them for snack, and everyone else just takes for anytime. The recipe is super adaptable to different diets, for example, I've made them gluten-free and used sugar-free chocolate chips. If you like them less crispy and rather softer/chewier, add an egg. (I tried it and my family protested.)

3 cups oatmeal (I use quick oats, but you can use any kind)
2 cups flour (I use whole spelt, but you can use any kind)
1 cup honey (or maple syrup)
1 cup oil (I use light olive oil, but it's nearly as good with evoo)
2 eggs
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups ground almonds (if I don't have almonds, I just add another 1 cup of flour)
1 cup chocolate chips/raisins (I use a combo of both)

Preheat oven to 350. With wet hands, form small balls onto a lined cookie sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Store in freezer.

(Bumping this to) Thank you for this recipe! I started making it regularly and just made a double batch Surprised
It goes so fast! (I froze around half raw - already formed)

Bumping up this thread
I’m dieting for the past 10 days already. I’m 8 weeks postpartum and need to lose at least 30 lbs. I have no issue all week but usually I flop on shabbos!
But…I’m so proud of what I ate today!
Coffee at 10:30
At the meal abut 12:30 I had sourdough, dips, salmon, a piece of potato kugel, and a piece of kishka
About 4:30 I had salad with avocado and dressing
8:00 coffee with grab1 bar

Rereading my post now and I’m thinking, do you think it’s enough food for my ebf baby? Scratching Head
