Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have not taken a vacation in years. My husband is often away for business and with small babies it just isn't possible. I really need a break, I can't even tell you. I have no one to watch my kids, it's just not possible, my friends got together to organize that I can join my husband on his next trip. He would need to do work but it's in a warm tourist location and I could relax.
I just found out that my daughter's siddur party is right smack in the middle of the 3 days.
Well there goes that.
Srsly Hashem????? Srsly?????

You have some really thoughtful nice friends
Do you have anyone else in town that your daughter adores? Grandmother, aunt etc

I was a pretty emphatic poster on the work vacation or child's play, post. I know the right thing to do, but it hurts and hence the title of this thread.

A siddur play is too major to miss.
Can you beg the school to change it? They usually ask if all moms are available before scheduling a definite date!

If they gave short notice, I would try this.
