I left a carry on on an el al plane years ago, it flew back and forth to Israel a few times and eventually we got it back. Contact the lost and found desk in the airport, contact El al directly, keep following up.

I have a local # from Newark 973 643-3042 elal is very irresponsible I traveled in december and they made my husband put his shtreimel in the luggage compartment and we arrived to newark thursday morning it was nowhere to be found we filed a claim monday morning a guy calls my husband from airport that you should know you left your shtreimel on the belt my husband told him please take it for me since I arrived home on thursday bottom line elal has no infomation on sending the shtreimel on a different flight my husband had to redo it & buy a new box
