I'm going to a school dinner for the first time, what am I supposed to wear? Shabbos clothes? Nice weekday? I'm in Lakewood if that makes a difference

I would vote Shabbos clothes (but not chasuna clothes). Show up any time during the reception (washing then speeches starting prob around when dinner is called for)

Where do you live?
I live in Lakewood and I wear heels and extra nice shabbos/wedding outfit
For reference, I both taught in a school for many years, and have gone to my kids schools dinners
There are always pPl who don’t wear heels or dress less fancy but most people are
