I literally take everything out of the package right away and put everything away.
All the pretty packaging into the garbage...
all the hard work goes away in a blink of an eye...
some things I don't even see- my kids get to it first

I do that too. Otherwise it’s a Mount Everest of work at the end of Purim. I do take a pic of it for dh though since he’s usually out with kids delivering shalach Manis and doesn’t get to see what people give us.
Yes it’s a waste but I’m not making anyone happy by slaving away over so many packages that night putting things away. I’m much calmer doing that as the things come in.

Nope that's just part of purim. Do whatever works. The packaging is appreciated upon receipt by those who notice, and then it's over.

I take everything apart really fast too. dh is a rebbi and if I don't get to work on it throughout the day then it becomes overwhelming in my little kitchen , because he has over thirty students usually, the majority of whom usually bring mm to us. bH
