I have been going to Boots Opticians for years and been very happy.

I have been having difficulty wearing contacts for the past 6 months and have exhausted all my options here.

I have been to Eye Site once and dont know if they are more advanced.

I have heard that Specsavers dont have a great range of lenses.

I am waiting for referral to an eye specialist but would really like to know if anyone has *experience* with a more competent optician that I can try Please!!

Would reaply apprefiate any input.

Thanks so much!

I used vision express in London, I was happy how they fitted me, but it ended up being a very expensive type of contact lenses

Thanks!

Im not concerned about the cost at the moment becaue I am so desparate to be able to wear again, Its a need for me.

Im happy also to buy them online on cheaper sites.
Been doing that for years .same brands.

Just a heads up, some people’s eyes are just not suited for lenses, my eyes are pretty dry so I just don’t wear them everyday, only special occasions. I could wear them everyday but eyes will only get worse if I do.

just saw this post.

I've used Amy at the village optician and I'm VERY happy with her. (99% sure that's her name)

She helped me find a good lens when I was almost ready to give up with dry eyes, astigmatism etc.

Hope it's not too late...

btw there's also a product I use with my lenses - hycosan, it also helps...

So Iv spoken to Mr Greenberg and hopefully will get to see him or Amy.

I think he is more expensive, but Im not sure if there is a difference between the 2 of them...

Thanks for the recommendation.

Iv tried a combination of drops , including hycosan, theoloz and a steroid one.
None of them actually helped with wearing lenses but did make my eyes feel better, at the times when I wasnt wearing them at all.

Plus the regular opticrom ones religiously.

Pleasure - He's also very good, have used him in the past,

for me Amy was better though - I've moved from the Prestwich Village branch to the Sedgley branch now

Is there a difference in the care( in terms of appt) il get from both of them?

He told me his wife wears ortho k, so I will probably look into that.

Thanks so much for replying.
Really appreciate the input!

No, I don't think there's any difference in terms of care, they really are both excellent!

I don't have experience with ortho k.

Hatzlocho!
