Or can I use the one I use year round? Technically I could have used it while there was chometz near my lips although I do keep it upstairs away from the kitchen etc

Our family always bought new lipstick for Pesach. If you want a psak you should ask a shayla.

You need to ask your own rav. We don’t buy new, but my husband’s family probably does.

I bought a new one a few years ago and just save it from year to year. I realized I was buying a new one every year and never finishing any of mine.

I've never heard of buying new, only that some people use kosher for Passover lipstick (or beetroot).

My very makpid on halacha rabbonim have said no need to get a new one. And even toothpaste they have said is fine to use the same tube as long as my year round one is klp.
