BH its our first year with this problem. Do I just clean the whole thing well and then cover the tray? what would I cover with? Thanks!

My parents cover the tray with contact paper.

I cover with very thick plastic/ cheap flannel back tablecloth that I tape on.

I always cleaned and covered and baby always pulled covering off. If the food isn't hot
I wouldn't worry too much!
