Can someone please walk me through the steps for cleaning the inside of my new hot water urn with sour salt?
It's a magic mill brand. I've had it for a few months and the store told me to wash it out with sour salt monthly.
How many tablespoons of sour salt to how much water? How long do oi boil it for?
TIA!

Fill urn with water. Add 4 Tbsp citric acid/sour salt. Turn on. Once fully boiled, spill out fully. Add clean water and bring to a boil again. Spill out.
Use as usual.

Empty the water pour in sour salt thin layer over the whole bottom fill with water until where there are marks and boil up water. When it’s done boiling I pump some also to clean the pump area.
Pour out and rinse. If there’s still residue try wiping with papertowel.
If there’s still some stuff leftover repeat sour salt. I never had to do more than twice.
I also reboil after rinsing out and spill that water out and then restart with clean water.
