I hate that job
I tried to ask my cleaning lady but she did a terrible job/ just wiped down- not a pesach job

Ew I hate it too
Somehow it was always my job as a kid. I used to gag and throw up.
Sorry no help. I'm not home this year but I'm renting a clean place and lining the fridge. That will be machmir enough for me. I'm clearly already traumatized from pesach cleaning

So satisfying!
Take everything out
Fill bathtub with a few in of warm water and ammonia like soap
Lay a towel in bath so you won't hurt your bathtub
Lay towels all over floor near bathroom
Remove each drawer/ shelf carefully (note where they belong) and give them baths a few at a time.
Most of the gook will come right off
Use sponge if needed for extra gook
Spray off and put on towel to dry
When all is out and drying, clean inside of fridge
Put things back.tada!
Side note- why are you doing your fridge this week?

Wow that's a lot of work. Why is there so much gunk?? Is it a very old fridge?
My cleaning help wipes down the fridge shelves every week with a damp cloth. There's no gunk ever.
There's no major cleaning it for Pesach here. I certainly don't remove any shelves. A wipe down is enough to get rid of any chometz.

I have no cleaning lady and am not a very clean person .
I might wipe it out one or two times a year besides for its bath for pesach
So ye we've got gook and gunk

We needed a new fridge last month and DH has been super paranoid about keeping it immaculate lol. This is going to be the easiest cleaning ever.
