Please help me plan

You guys have been so helpful in the past (we had a great time in Vermont last summer, minus throwing out a brand new pair of shoes!) I figured maybe you can help me again.
I’d like to go away at the end of the summer, after my kids are done with camp and before school starts. Maybe a week- a week and a half.

Here are the specifications, as put forth by my daughter
- must be sunny
- must have a pool
- palm trees are a huge plus
- fun things to do
- not more than 4 hours driving

Here are my requirements
- not crazy expensive to stay there (we will be 4-6 people, so $50+ per person is a little out of our budget)
- I don’t mind something a few days drive from NY, but max 4 hours driving per day
- not scorching my humid
- either we will stay in nice Airbnb houses or we will stay in hotels
- access to grocery stores, but not specifically kosher ones (we will be bringing all of our specifically kosher items with us, so we will just need a place to get things like milk, cereal, etc. and anything that we run out of or forget to bring)
- fun (and maybe educational/historical) things to do that won’t break the bank (see above)
- age range 9m- 16 years old, both genders

I’m thinking maybe cape hatteras, and stop in Delaware and Norfolk on the way. Leave Sunday and go to Delaware, then go to Norfolk Monday, then to cape hatteras on Tuesday.
