I signed up for the bp chesed center pesach food distribution. I got an email saying they don't service my area and I was taken off the list.
Any idea why????
I've gotten the past years from them.
I'm so disappointed.

Maybe lack of funds combined with increasing food prices means that they have to cut back somewhere, and they've decided to do it by location? If you're outside their main distribution area it would make sense that it's an area they had to cut out.

I got the same email.
I guess they have less funding this year.
I got from them last year and it was so helpful

Not sure what were gonna do this year. It's really hard if you're not in kollel or chinuch and dont have access to any help for pesach

Maybe you can call them and ask if you can go pick up.

The email was pretty clear that we cannot show up and they won't scan our ticket. In previous years they only let you in if you had a ticket and they scanned it. They don't let anyone in without a valid ticket

Did you just get an email now. I got mine 3 weeks ago, but my sister didn't. Are they still cancelling people?

Try contacting Met Council directly since they seem to find the Chesed Center or at least did in the past.

Met council and the chessed center is the same thing. I honestly don't think calling is gonna help. The email was not a mistake. If they said they cancelled our tickets, then we can't go pick up food. They're not gonna change their mind just cuz we call. They obviously don't have enough funding to give out a lot this year

Anyway I've tried calling in the past for other things and they never answered calls or emails
