Were in BP.

How much do I spend, what do I buy, and where do I go, where she'll for sure find something she likes if she returns?

I’m not sure how much you want to spend but the peluche cocoon is a very beautiful generous gift and super useful for the coming season. Little loungers should have it and I’m sure many more high end baby shops carry it

Or the alimrose doll. Not something most people would get by themselves

I’d get a nice set- stretchy blanket and bonnet at Estis.

I got it from someone. It's a beautiful gift. Really not worth the money. It wasn't from a local store or I would've return it for 2 nice strechies.

Its not up to you to determine value - it wasn't your money spent.

I'd rather give a nice doll than clothes that have a 3 month lifespan... personal preference as the giver Smile

Sure. But add a gift certificate for atypical gifts.

Mine had, but store was 1.5 hours away

I like to give what the recipient wants
Tbh I’d ask her if there’s anything in particular she wants
Or give a gift certificate to a nice local Jewish store
First girl? I’d get a gorgeous shabbos outfit that’s exchangeable just in case as it can be tricky with sizes and seasons too

Atelier Choux brand swaddles are gorgeous and so so useful.
They also have other matching products...

Well, I guess everyone has different opinion. I would love love love to get it as a gift but it’s not something I think I will ever go out and buy for myself

I’d rather clothes with a three month lifespan than something the recipient will never use at all

Theres a basement baby clothing store in the 50s and 16 or 17 area in BP, but I cant remember the name. They had unusual things for reasonable.

Does anyone know which store Im referring to?

I personally would give away those dolls. I don’t go for decor. I do more practical.

I think I prefer to buy an outfit in a BP store , where she can return for what she likes.

Whatever you give, make sure she can return or exchange it. It's a shame to spend money on something she may not want or need.

The best gifts I got were the ones I was able to exchange!!!

Lol just saw ur prev post.

It’s not just a doll, it’s meant for decor. no one gives their baby a $50 doll to teeth and spit on.
To me in my tiny Brooklyn apartment it’s considered clutter.

Personally I would prefer a gift certificate to a baby clothing store than actual outfit or decor. I usually get a ton of stretchies or fussy outfits that my babies hardly get to wear. It can be a pressure to have to return items within a narrow time frame. I always appreciate the thought but find it more enjoyable to use the gift certificate after the newborn/ spit up phase pass.
