I'm coming to Israel for the first time with my kids in the summer! What are the best places to take them to? Any ideas are appreciated!

Dead Sea

Park HaYarkon (if it's not so hot that being outside is miserable).

Shfayim water park

Tiverias (on the kinneret lake) has a lot of fun water activities.

Btw, how old are your kids, and do you swim on mixed beaches?

Ages 4-13. Mixed beaches are ok. Would also love ideas of things that are specific to israel as we go to beaches where we live.

Yodfat monkey forest. The monkeys roam free and you can feed them.

Does anyone know the name of or have a website or contact info for the yishuv that does matza and esrogim?

Don't go to Bedouins.

But there's a Jewish one -- Eretz Bereishit -- which gives you the Avraham Avinu experience in a fabulous way.

We were just in Israel with our kids this past January.

My kids favorite places:

Joining an archeological dig at Tel Maresha. Fascinating and great fun!

Taking a glass art class in the old city of Tzfat.

Walking around the stores in Geulah and meah shearim.

We took a tour of Chevron and Mearas Hamachpela. I'm not sure I would go now, the security situation is so much worse, but we all found it very moving.

Nimrod's fortress. This is my favorite part of the country.
