My 3 year old I'm still sleeps with eyes partially open. Seems like she still hasn't outgrown it. Does it need checking out or do people just go on to sleeping with their eyes partially open?
I know that she can close her eyes and her eyes are closed sometimes. But they are partially open a a lot

My kids have gone through this. Apparently my father in law did this and freaked out my mil when they just got married lol. Doesn't seem to be an issue

I’ve been told it’s a sign of dry eyes. Nothing to do about it.

She is my first child that does it! It's weird when they fall asleep but their eyes are open so I move around to see if she is following me or she has dosed off.
I did try to Google it but the response was mixed so I am happy to hear that other people have it and it's fine

I have a sibling that still does as a middle age person.
I had one child do it for a while but then it stopped.(this child happens to look like the same side of family like that sibling so I sometimes wonder if it’s genetic)

My father did and my brother does. I don't think it's a symptom of dry eye, I thought it causes dry eye.

I do it, I have very large eyes and my eyelids just don’t close as easily
I do get dust in them and they are extra sensitive
A few of my children who got my large eyes do it too

When my kids do that I close their eyes. Just lightly tap on the eye lid or blow on it and they usually close

One of my kids did this. She sleeps with her eyes closed now but sometimes there's a slit. I never thought of it as anything but a little weird.

My son sleeps like that. And my nephew. And my cousin. Sometimes people make fun of it in camp. The eyes get dry, though so put artificial tears or Purelube or other eye drops

I have at least one child who was like this, and they are still somewhat like this and they are in HS.

My four year old has big eyes and also sleeps with her eyes only half closed. It looks freaky but I never thought to be concerned
