Seeing conflicting information online. I have an expired US passport and an enhanced us driver’s license. Will I be able to get into Canada? Are there any other documents I should bring?

Doubt it. You will be able to get back into the US no problem but why would Canada let you in without a valid passport?

By land, yes. By air, no.
It's all on the government of Canada website.

You should be able to drive across the border with an expired passport or enhanced driver's license.

Hi any have updated information. I have an expired passport and no enhanced license (I know this can get me in but not enough time to get one) can an adult travel back and forth using a birth certificate? Or any other options?

Dh just went into Canada this week with a regular driver's license and birth certificate. Border literally took 20 seconds a mini van full of men. Some had passports some only had regular drivers license. It was fine.

Is there a way I can confirm that. Someone said sometimes it has to do with the border patrolman… or is it official law that birth certificate and drivers license and it’s good??

The border patrol absolutely checked all of our passports.

I’ve been back and forth and passports and cards are checked and questions are asked. I wouldn’t risk it.

I just went on an enhanced license but you can call the border and ask, 450-246-3833, this is thr number of one of thr birder crossings into Canada, I dont remember which one.
I called and spoke to a guy when I had questions about accepted paperwork

My sister just did this but we are also Canadian citizens by birth
