Today, whatever I try on in the stores is so short and tight around the head. It so doesnt suit me. I need it to hang down a drop…
Can anyone guide me as to where and which snoods to buy? |
I have a large head and found chenilles @ Match A Head. - they were on the shelves between the two mirrors and came in a size large.

I live in the Uk and buy these in a local shop, but perhaps someone on here knows where they sell these near you. I have a full drawer of snoods I cant wear 'cos they get smaller with the first wash, and then look awful on me.
These are SG baretim- but only these styles (that I know of)- do not shrink, and hang down a little bit- to give you height. They are also slightly bigger than a regular snood, and they're cotton- so great for the summer. I was so relieved to have found them!
The first one is best if you want it to hang down a bit more.

Hate the swimming cap look and bought new snoods today at Excessorama on 16th avenue. Atifa chenille snoods size large. They’re great.

They hang down a little? U think the size large is what gives it that look?
Will maybe go in to try too

Does Amazon sell lined snoods? I dont see any.
Which place in BP has snoods that dont rip? My Clover snoods (13/39) look good but they rip.

I have a similar issue. The only kind that works for me looks like cotton and is pretied. It has gives me a drop of height and hangs down a bit in the back to accommodate a pony tail. Maybe try Flatbush? It's a different clientele than Boro Park.

I'm in the same boat. Need the height in front and for it to hang down a bit in back. I don't look good with a flat tichel in front and my hair needs to fit comfortably. I found a nice snood online at https://www.uptowngirlheadwear.com/
They are located in Brooklyn but I'm not sure if this is a frum neighborhood:
1454 E 23rd St, Brooklyn, NY 11210
They have many different styles, catering to frum and Muslim women and ppl with y"m
Not too expensive either
Hatzlacha!!

I started buying Lucy & Olivia snoods when I first saw them in store, and they are so comfortable, and also looked better than the plainer ones I used to wear. However, I'm going to need some help from you guys please. At fist it only happened to the burgundy ones I had, but now it's happening to any color. Pieces start to pull and I've got a bunch of loose pieces hanging all over the place. I wash it in cold, place it flat to dry, and wash it in a mesh bag only.
Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know how to prevent it. And any suggestions how to fix since I have so many and they look nuts?
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edited to add: no loose pieces, it's more like loops, if that helps clarify

Can we please bring this style back? The real 1990 style snood with the twist in the front and a long "pocket" in the back. Most flattering look from all the head coverings I've worn over the past 35 years.
