How can I find out more information on these areas: Airmont, Chestnut Ridge, Forshay, Monsey, New Hempstead, Pomona, Spring Valley, Wesley Hills.
Like the differences and the pros and cons of each of these areas.
If anyone can elaborate I would really appreciate it.

(I.e. Like what type of people living there, Shopping areas, Appearance, Price Range, etc)

Amother because I don't want the people who know me here to know about my moving plans yet.

I'm familiar with some of the areas you mentioned. What would you like to know?

I can tell you some things off-hand, but let me know the specifics.

Monsey and Spring Valley are very developed. Monsey is very concentrated in certain areas. I know taht they are putting up lots of multi-family homes and the further out you go to wesley hills, pomona, the more spread out things may be. There are some very beautiful areas in Monsey proper.

There's a ton of shopping in Monsey - they have a huge Kosher store which is like a Shop-rite, as well as many other jewish stores in one shopping center. Besides forthat one there are so many grocery stores, restaurants, judaica stores, clothing stores - u name it. you're minutes away from nanuet and nyack which has all other regular stores and malls. spring valley has a kosher shopping center as well.

New Hempstead has nice community, shul - dont know so much abt it. Pomona is first starting to grow, and chestnut ridge isnt so saturated with frum ppl although there is chabad there. same for airmont. they might be starting to overflow into those areas.

there are many schools to choose from so you dont have to worry abt that. there are so many diff communities and shul so whether you're modern orthodox, chasseedish, litvish - u'll find a comfort zone.

Chestnut Ridge, Wesley Hills, New Hempstead, Airmont, Pomona and Forshay are more spread apart and each house generally has more land. There's more greenery and nicer grounds.

What about Bessin Parkway?

We are looking for a community where it's mixed. Different kinds of Chassidim and Litvaks and in between.
