I think the sweet versions are generally called cake pops. If you google easy cake pop recipes, there are a whole lot of options. Depending on age of children, you can either bake from a mix or use some kind of store bought cake

Cheese balls are generally the term for savory cheese balls which are typically served as an appetizer at a party.

This one is a bit different than usual ones because it is pizza flavored and you serve with pizza dough sticks instead of crackers.

Pizza Cheese Ball With Pizza Crust Breadsticks

Pizza Cheese Ball

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup jarred marinara sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 cup chopped parsley, for garnish
1/4 cup chopped basil, for garnish

Parmesan Breadsticks

1 pound store-bought pizza dough
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup melted butter

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. In a stand mixer with wire whisk attachment, beat together until evenly combined cream cheese, mozzarella, marinara, oregano, garlic powder and onion powder.

3. Refrigerate mixture for 30 minutes to harden.

4. Meanwhile, roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into an 18-inch x 6-inch rectangle. Cut into even strips and place on a parchment-lined baking tray.

5. Brush breadsticks with butter and sprinkle with parmesan. Put in oven and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

6. After the cheese mixture has chilled, use your hands to shape it into a large ball.

7. Combine chopped parsley and basil in a shallow bowl. Roll chilled cheese ball in herbs and place on a serving tray. Serve with the breadsticks.

I once wrote down this recipe from a magazine.

No Bake Cheese Balls

2 cups crushed cookies
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 stick butter
8 oz cream cheese
1 Tbsp vanilla sugar

mix, shape into small balls (will be messy), roll in grated chocolate.
Freeze.

This is super easy for kids to make, but no crushed cookies:

Cheese Balls:
1 cream cheese
4 bars dairy chocolate (2 white, 2dark)
3 cups confectioners sugar

Melt chocolate. Combine everything. Refrigerate. Form balls. Roll in nut crunch or topping of choice.

Did you have to use a mixer or can this be done by hand?
