I saw on a different thread that many suggested to just do cholent like usual.

But I usually cook on high for several hours and then switch to low just before candlelighting.

If making it on Yom Tov then obviously can't switch the setting, so not sure what to do. Will you set it on low or high for this Shabbos?

Thank you!

I use a stainless steel pot, not the more typical ceramic crock. I start my cholent on a gas burner and then move it to its slow-cooker base after a few hours. This is what I do every week — so no different than usual.

Similarly, if you have a burner on during YomTov, you could start your cholent on the cooktop and then transfer it to to a crockpot on the low setting.

Low. I put water and spices in on the Thursday night and set it to come on early Friday morning so it starts heating up , and then when I get up I’ll add in everything else. It’s fine cooking on low.
